Frequently Asked Questions

We carry a wide range of styles including cut pile (plush/Saxony), loop pile (Berber), cut-and-loop, frieze, and patterned carpets in nylon, polyester, triexta (SmartStrand), and wool.

Nylon and triexta are the most durable and resilient. Triexta has built-in stain resistance that won’t wear off. Polyester is more budget-friendly and good for stains but less resilient under heavy traffic.

No carpet is 100% stain-proof, but many modern carpets have excellent stain-resistant treatments or inherent resistance (especially triexta and some nylons). Prompt cleanup is still essential.

Material typically ranges from about $2–$12+ per square foot depending on fiber, construction, and quality. Installed prices (including padding and labor) are higher. We provide free in-home estimates.

Yes. Proper padding improves comfort, extends carpet life, and enhances warranties. We recommend density and thickness matched to the carpet style and traffic level (usually 6–8 lb density for residential).

Quality carpet lasts 10–15 years or more with proper care. High-traffic areas or homes with pets may need replacement sooner.

Yes. We encourage taking large samples home to view in your lighting and with your furnishings.

Vacuum at least twice a week. Address spills immediately. Professional cleaning every 12–18 months is recommended. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Most “new carpet smell” dissipates within 24–72 hours with good ventilation. Modern carpets meet strict indoor air-quality standards.

Properly maintained carpet can trap allergens rather than allowing them to circulate. Regular vacuuming with a HEPA filter and professional cleaning help keep it healthy.

Denser construction and shorter pile generally perform better in high-traffic areas. Plush higher piles are ideal for bedrooms.

Yes. Stairs require specific styles for safety and durability. In basements, moisture conditions must be evaluated first.

Professional installation typically takes 1 day for an average room. We handle removal of old flooring if needed.

Most carpets come with manufacturer warranties covering stains, wear, and manufacturing defects. We also stand behind our installation.

Absolutely. Many homes use carpet in bedrooms and hard-surface flooring in living areas for a balanced look and function.
